Holly, a small business owner who created Holly’s Homeware in 2018, desperately needed training for her team to keep her business afloat.

Through learning about the importance of community, employees discovered what makes them special members of the team, how they can work well with others and create a cohort at work, and why each employee needs one another.
These fundamentals helped employees discover where they are lacking in communication and why information has been falling through the cracks. They were also able to better understand their obligations and how to align with the company’s policies.
The Surprising Results
By incorporating employee surveys and tracking incidents such as failed executions or misunderstandings about policies, Holly calculated that two months following the training, the team alignment score jumped from 66% to 87%. Of course, this still leaves room for improvement, yet the jump made waves at the company.
Her business was running much more smoothly, and she wasn't needed nearly as often to correct mistakes, clarify tasks, or bridge communication gaps between employees.
Employees clocked in and out of work more cheerful and talkative, and stayed highly productive throughout their shifts. Her team worked through misunderstandings respectfully and turned to each other first (instead of Holly!) for clarification and help.
With her team functioning as a whole and problem-solving together, Holly finally had the time to continue improving her business.
